Mashiro Theater - A New Stage for VR Theater

Mashiro Theater is a small theater built in virtual space (VRChat) for VR theater.

VR theater is a live performance where actors, staff, and audience all log into the same virtual space simultaneously. While actors appear as avatars, their real movements and voices are reflected directly, delivering the feeling of a live stage performance.

Anyone with a PC can participate, and VR headsets make it even more immersive! The ease of enjoying theater from home and the accessibility regardless of time and location are major draws.

There is no need to prepare a rehearsal space, set up, or strike. The convenience of having a production-ready environment immediately, and the freedom of staging not bound by physical constraints, offer many advantages for creators as well.

Our mission is "to establish virtual theater as a genuine alternative alongside in-person theater."

In the virtual world, actors and audiences can gather from anywhere in the world with the right equipment. For those who find it difficult to participate in real-world activities for various reasons, the virtual world can be a new option.

We aim to be a place where those familiar with real theater "awaken" to the appeal of virtual, and where those active in virtual "awaken" to the joy of theater — a place where anyone can "aspire" to do theater in VR.
