The stage is a small five-car train called the "Jail Train" — a prison drifting between the living world and the afterlife, holding the souls of violent criminals. Centering on Leila, a 19-year-old girl newly imprisoned on this train, the condemned souls begin to cross paths.

Three years into a job at a company that's just gone bankrupt, Kakeru had been vaguely considering drowning himself — when, that very day, he receives news of his grandmother Chiyo's death. Feeling it must be fate, he returns to his hometown to attend the funeral before heading to the sea. On his way, he passes the old coffee shop his grandparents ran and finds his childhood friend Reito standing outside. Reito seems to have something he needs to tell him... This is a version edited for the Virtual Theater Society Omnibus Performance Vol.1.
